Footloose and Diaper Free
This week with Jim - Number 2.
I should have known that eventually it would be my turn to be sick and guess what? It happened. Nothing serious, just the usual sniffles but boy does it suck. You want to do things but your body says otherwise. I know a lot of other people are far worse off than I am so I won’t complain, but if there’s a theme for this week it was the common cold.
I spent a few days continuing the project that has been selling all my dad’s old diecast cars and this week was all about listing all his old magazines:
Jim Writes is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.
This is just a taste of some of the magazines he had. He kept every magazine from the early 80’s to today and it took me a few days but I managed to get them all listed on eBay which was quite the task. I never thought it would take me as long as it did, but we’re talking hundreds of magazines.
I have also been pretty good about posting here regularly which is surprising because this is when my new blogging enthusiasm tapers off as it’s frustrating to have a new newsletter than only one person reads it. But perhaps it’s a good thing because it allows me to find my mojo of what works and what doesn’t.
What Happened This Week
I posted some photos of cars for my dad’s diecast newsletter
I also wrote about what is the big, big news around here is that we no longer use diapers!1 and then I complained about why need yet another prime day from Amazon and the fact that if I have to read the same book at bedtime again I might just lose it.
Thankfully I’ve been able to retire the book and introduced a new one which is great btw.
And that’s it for the most part. Like all weeks, it seems to go by faster and faster every week but at least it’s apple picking season here and there’s something to be said for biting into an apple that just minutes before was hanging from a tree.
Until Next Week - Jim and Co.
This applies to the child - not me.
